We want to welcome you to the Annapolis 10 Mile Run, now in its 41st year! The non-profit, all volunteer Annapolis Striders running club takes great pride in hosting our community’s signature running event.
The A-10 is truly a race put on “by runners, for runners” (some of whom you will meet on this page) and we hope you love it as much as we do. Our race showcases our great town –the historic brick lined streets of Annapolis, the Naval Academy, the breathtaking Severn River, the rolling hills and spectator support of Ferry Farms and Pendennis Mount – providing a competitive and fair challenge, and supporting local and national charities.
Running the A-10 is not just an individual accomplishment. Sure, you have to finish the race to receive the finisher’s premium and at times in the race it is just you and your will to finish. But it’s more than an individual race; it is a community event that allows us to come together for a greater good, year after year, decade after decade. Olympians have run this course. Generations of families – fathers and daughters, mothers and sons – have run this course. Over 150,000 people have run this course, young and old, and all always give their best on race day. It is a rite of passage.
Once you’ve run A-10, you become part of its history (details of the first 25 years are here), and when you tell folks you finished A-10, everyone will know what that means: You conquered the trifecta of 10 miles of August heat, hills and humidity.
Thanks again for choosing to run our race.
