at Rosaryville State Park

The race will close out at 200 participants

Register nowSee the Annapolis Striders website for more information and for mail-in registration.
The course is mostly in deep woods at Rosaryville State Park, though there is some running in meadows also. The trail is largely single track; not very technical. The Start (also the Finish) is at the Pavilion picnic area about three quarters of a mile from where the runners enter the single-track perimeter trail. Hot food after the race starting about 11:30. The race will end at 4:00pm.
The course has two aid stations about 4 1/2 miles apart. There will be a bag drop at the first aid station. We will transport bags from the Start to the bag drop site when the race begins and return them to the pavillion after the race–or you can pick up your bag as you leave the park.
To volunteer or for more information, contact Co-Race Director, Tom DeKornfeld or 410-562-4489
Volunteer validation available.

August social wrap up-we had our Annapolis Striders Social outside at the Annapolis Market House, 25 Market Space, City Dock, Annapolis. What a nice downtown venue and great weather to boot. If you haven’t been to the Annapolis Market House lately, we encourage you to stop by. The best view in town, great food and service. We had approximately 15 members join us including a few who took a break from their run to say hello. Thank you and shout out to Keith Buchard, for reserving our space!!

September 10, 6:30-8:30pm, our Annapolis Striders Social will meet outside on the patio at the Italian Market of Annapolis, 126 Defense Highway, Annapolis. We have reservations for 15. Seating is first come, first serve outside. We hope you will join us; eat, drink, shop and enjoy!!
Help Carrye Massey celebrate 5 years coordinating the Annapolis Striders socials!! Thank you, Wilbur and Geraldine Lubrano, for reserving our space.

right-arrow-icon3.gif The Crofton Kiwanis 10K and 5K will be held Saturday, October 3rd  at 8:00 am at Crofton Country Club.
For over 30 years, this has been a great summer event. It is now rescheduled for October 3rd.   The 10K has been certified and goes around the community’s tree-lined parkway loop and residential side streets.  It is mostly flat with a few challenging hills.  The 5K runs only on the Crofton Parkway.  It measures a bit longer, closer to 5.3K. All proceeds go directly to community charities by way of Crofton Kiwanis.
Update from organizer:

There is now a virtual option
Also, we will space runners every 15 seconds in 10 minute time slots as they’ve signed up for.

All information is available on the organizer’s Website

Hello fellow Annapolis Striders,
It is with a heavy heart that I must announce that the 4th Annual Wreaths Across America Two Rivers Run will not be held this year, at least not as we had originally planned and hoped for.
While the planned run date is still three months away, it takes significant planning and preparation to get ready.   And if 2020 has taught us anything so far it is that we have no way of knowing what is going to happen in the next three months.   Therefore I have made the decision to convert the run/walk into a “Do it yourself 5k (or one mile) virtual fun run/walk.”  So on Saturday November 7th (or a date near there) get bundled up and go out for a run/walk.    Take a selfie of your “race” and we’ll collect them and post the pictures virtually.   This way we can all honor our veterans while staying safe and healthy.
For an informal event like this there will obviously be no registration fee.  Instead I hope that you will continue to honor our veterans by purchasing a wreath.
Last year our goal for was 1,000 wreaths which equals raising $15,000.  I know we can do this!   In fact, I know we can do even better this year!
