Special Call for Volunteers for Cherry Pit 10 Miler

Seeking volunteers to help a recent 5K class member and now Race Director Tess Zangrill and of course your fellow Annapolis Striders who are running the race.

The Annapolis Striders is an all volunteer organization. If you recently attended a training class, pay it forward and volunteer, as a thank you to your coaches.

Check this list of volunteer needs and sign up!

A note from Race Director, Tess: “I’ll take pretty much anything I can get. I have a critical need for 2 monitoring spots in particular, any sort of setup for food while the runners are out, and any folks who don’t mind moving some gear (i.e., tables) would be most helpful (particularly after leaving the event). And if you can drive a box truck, that would help too! “

Gunpowder Keg 25K and 50K

Saturday, April 15, 2023 8:00 am

The Baltimore Road Runners Club’s Gunpowder Keg Ultra 25K and 50K is being held on Saturday April 15th at 8am. With spring finally upon us the trails are about to be lush with green, but not yet overgrown. We think it’s the best time of year for running the Bunker Hill trails. This low-key, affordable ($20!), fun filled race consists of 2 loops of mostly single track trail. The course has 3 aid stations per loop, lovely vistas and friendly volunteers. And with over 1700 foot elevation gain per loop there are many options to challenge yourself – or to walk, depending on your hill philosophy, The race begins at the Bunker Hill parking lot in the Hereford area of Gunpowder State Park.
