Annapolis Striders membership is required to participate in these training programs. There is no fee for the training programs but you must register.

Registration for Winter Warriors 5k class is now open.
Are you a new runner? A lapsed runner? Someone looking to get back in shape? Need something to motivate you through the winter months? We’ve got just the thing for you: Our Winter Warriors Annapolis Striders 5k Class! Starting on Sunday, November 27th, this training program meets up on Sundays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays, all leading up to the Annapolis Striders Valentine’s 5K race on Saturday, February 11th, 2023. And the program is FREE for Annapolis Striders members! Note: The lights at the track of the Annapolis High School on Riva Road are on every Tuesday night 6-7 PM (paid for by the Annapolis Striders) from now until February 7, 2023 for the 5k class but others are welcome to come out and get a winter workout.

Wrap up from our Annapolis Striders December social: We met at GameOn Bar & Arcade, 114 West Street, Annapolis. What a fun night!! Great to see so many familiar faces and what a treat to play so many vintage video games!!

BWI Loop Runners
We are called the BWI Loop Runners or Loopers (individuals that either run around in a 10 ft circle or 10 miles lol). We run every Saturday at Thomas A. Dixon Observation Area at 7am unless we have a running event that we are attending. Our goal is to welcome all individuals to run, walk or crawl for better health. Our Facebook page is BWI Loop Runners.

Christmas Caper

The Potomac Valley Track Club (PVTC) has announced the last race of its annual Ed Barron Holiday Road Races will be held at East Potomac Park, Washington DC on December 17th . This is the 15th year this race has been held as part of the Ed Barron Holiday Road Race Series.
The race honors Ed Barron—one of the Club’s founders. Christmas Caper 5K (7:50 AM start) and 10K (7:50 AM start). Founded in 1972, the Potomac Valley Track Club (PVTC) is a community-centered, nationally oriented, 501c3 nonprofit organization supporting the running, track & field, and racewalking communities in the Washington DC metropolitan area.
PVTC sponsors various events throughout the year including an annual schedule of road races, racewalks and indoor/outdoor track and field meets for athletes of all ages and abilities. PVTC is a club for elite and developing athletes, and for people who just want to maintain fitness in an easy comfortable forum.
Additionally, PVTC sponsors masters track & field teams at the annual USA Track & Field Masters Championship Meets where the Club has won several combined men’s & women’s championships over the past 15 years (2009, 2013, 2015, 2018, 2022).
