Got to like it when predictions come true. I wonder how many of the class of 2004 still have this “famous” shirt?
Thanks to Sue Dupont for the very accurate design! Little touches like this helped the Annapolis Striders Running club win the national beginning running program awarded by the Road Runners Club of America in 2011. A new class of beginning “Cicada” runners can be seen going through their paces at the Bates track on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays.
The club needs a race director for our Valentine’s 5K at Kinder Farm Park in February of next year. If interested, please contact Larry Puglisi.

Annapolis, MD 21401
We are having an in-person race this year. It is the 42nd year for the WDF & 37th year for the RATW. This is also the graduation race for the 5K Beginner’s group. You have the choice of registering by mail or online. There will be NO race-day registration. Premiums will be guaranteed to the first 200 applicants.
The course is mostly in deep woods at Rosaryville State Park, though there is some running in meadows also. The trail is largely single track; not very technical. The Start (also the Finish) is at the Pavilion picnic area about three quarters of a mile from where the runners enter the single-track perimeter trail. Hot food after the race starting about 11:30. The race will end at 4:00pm.
The course has two aid stations. There will be a bag drop just before the second aid station, a short walk from the Start/Finish.
Annapolis Striders membership is required to participate in these training programs. There is no fee for the training programs but you must register.
Additional information about training programs may be found on the Annapolis Striders website.

The 5K course goes completely around Crofton Parkway. All profits from these races are put towards the many community charities that the club supports.
