Thirteenth Annual
Rosaryville Veteran’s Day 50K
 
SATURDAY, November 12, 2022, 8:00 a.m.
at Rosaryville State Park
The race will close out at 200 participants

The course is mostly in deep woods at Rosaryville State Park, though there is some running in meadows also. The trail is largely single track; not very technical. The Start (also the Finish) is at the Pavilion picnic area about three quarters of a mile from where the runners enter the single-track perimeter trail. Hot food after the race starting about 11:30. The race will end at 4:00pm.
The course has two aid stations. There will be a bag drop just before the second aid station, a short walk from the Start/Finish.

SEPTEMBER 2022

 Friends of the Poor 5K

Saturday, September 24, 2022 8:00 am

The race will be held at Calverton school in beautiful Calvert County Maryland. Run the race and spend the day exploring all that Calvert County has to offer, North Beach, Chesapeake Beach, hiking, restaurants, fishing and more.

The course is a gently rolling Cross Country through fields and some wooded parts.

Historic Stevensville Metric Half Marathon

Kent Island Running Group is proud to introduce a brand new event: the Historic Stevensville Metric Half Marathon! This is a 13.1 kilometer run, which equals 8.15 miles. This course takes the runners through historic Stevensville and travels along the scenic Cross Island Trail. The start and finish will be at Bark Barbecue Cafe on Log Canoe Circle. Upon finishing the race, all runners will get to partake food from Bark Barbecue Cafe along with beer (age 21 and up) and ice cream. In addition to the food and drink, runners will receive a finisher’s medal, a long-sleeved tri-blend shirt, and an after party with music from DJ Tom!

Proceeds from this event will be be going to the Chesapeake Bay Environmental Center for their Creepy Crawlers program and to the Kent Island Heritage Society.

Kosciuszko Freedom Run

 Take part in a family-friendly Kosciuszko Freedom Run in celebration of a revolutionary war hero Tadeusz Kosciuszko. Kosciuszko was a Polish military engineer, statesman, and military leader who became a national hero in Poland, Lithuania, Belarus, France and the United States. He took part in the American Revolutionary War on the US side and became most famous for fortifying Saratoga and West Point. Tadeusz Kosciuszko stood for equality and liberty for all!

Join us on Sunday, October 2, 2022 (8am to 11:15am) at the picturesque C&O Canal National Historic Park (Great Falls, MD).

Run a 5k or 1k kids’ fun run or just come to cheer on your family and friends! Registration is FREE. Medals and gifts for all runners!

The 2022 Kosciuszko Freedom Run: Sixth Edition, is organized by the Embassy of the Republic of Poland in partnership with the Embassy of Lithuania and in collaboration with the Montgomery County Road Runners Club.

Charm City’s 21st Annual Running Festival offers races that never disappoint! Runners are sure to have quite the unique and memorable experience as they tour every corner of the city. And the post-race festivities are amazing and certainly well-earned!

Benefits the Caroline County Humane Society. The course is a flat loop course which includes the town’s rail trail and scenic farmland outside of Ridgely, MD. Start at Martin Sutton Memorial Park to Sunset Blvd., to Cow Barn Road, loop around on Oakland Road, to Rail Trail, back up Sunset to finish at the Park.

Walk the Walk Foundation is a local non-profit who serves children’s needs in our community. Learn more on our Website.

Walk the Walk Foundation is excited to announce our partnership with the Bay Bridge Run/Walk. I realize many striders are likely already registered for this iconic race but we would like to welcome anyone who hasn’t to join our team.

The registration fee is currently $95 through Bay Bridge Run. If you join the Walk The Walk Team you can register for free by committing to raise $100 or more and feel good about raising money for local kids’ basic needs.
