The 2020 Downs Park 5 Mile Run has been CANCELLED.
In accordance with Anne Arundel County guidelines regarding outdoor gatherings, we will not be able to conduct the race this year. We look forward to seeing you in November 2021.

Rosaryville 50K
Eleventh Annual
Rosaryville Veteran’s Day 50K
SATURDAY, November 14, 2020, 8:00 a.m.
at Rosaryville State Park
The race will close out at 200 participants
ADDITIONAL VOLUNTEERS NEEDED FOR A RARE IN-PERSON RACE: This year the midshipman will not be able assist us due to Covid regulations at the Naval Academy, so we need a few more volunteers. Please volunteer if you can.
Actually race against other human beings! Register now. See the Annapolis Striders website for more information and for mail-in registration. 
The course is mostly in deep woods at Rosaryville State Park, though there is some running in meadows also. The trail is largely single track; not very technical. The Start (also the Finish) is at the Pavilion picnic area about three quarters of a mile from where the runners enter the single-track perimeter trail. Hot food after the race starting about 11:30. The race will end at 4:00pm.
The course has two aid stations about 4 1/2 miles apart.

Wrap up from our October 8th Annapolis Striders Social: 
We met at the Vida Taco Bar Severna Park, 541 Baltimore Annapolis Blvd., Severna Park, MD 21146. Vida Taco Bar is a Farm to Taco establishment. They source locally when they can to provide fresh and exciting tacos with a seasonal rotation. What a great evening to be outdoors with fellow runners and friends. There were 11 of us throughout the night enjoying food, beverages and good conversation. Thank you and shout out to everyone who came out and to Jake Munger, General Manager, for reserving outdoor patio seating.

The 22nd annual Greasy-Gooney 10K, directed by Annapolis Striders member Karsten Brown, will take place as a free virtual race only this year due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Register for free on RunSignup, then run or walk your 10K between Saturday 17 October and Sunday 1 November, then report your finish and see how you fared against everyone else. Did we mention it’s free? Visit for complete info & the registration link. Karsten hopes the in-person 10K will be able to return to the Blue Ridge foothills in Browntown, Virginia, come October 2021’s fall foliage season!
Hello fellow Annapolis Striders,
It is with a heavy heart that I must announce that the 4th Annual Wreaths Across America Two Rivers Run will not be held this year, at least not as we had originally planned and hoped for.
While the planned run date is still three months away, it takes significant planning and preparation to get ready. And if 2020 has taught us anything so far it is that we have no way of knowing what is going to happen in the next three months. Therefore I have made the decision to convert the run/walk into a “Do it yourself 5k (or one mile) virtual fun run/walk.” So on Saturday November 7th (or a date near there) get bundled up and go out for a run/walk.  Take a selfie of your “race” and we’ll collect them and post the pictures virtually. This way we can all honor our veterans while staying safe and healthy.
For an informal event like this there will obviously be no registration fee. Instead I hope that you will continue to honor our veterans by purchasing a wreath.
 Last year our goal for was 1,000 wreaths which equals raising $15,000. I know we can do this!  In fact, I know we can do even better this year!

The Y in Central Maryland Turkey Trot Charity 5K will be held
November 26, 2020.

2020 John Wall Memorial One Mile Track Run

Participation in this race is limited to members that pre-registered for the 2020 Champ Series races. Do not show up for this race if you did not sign up for all the races at the beginning of 2020 prior to the Valentines Day 5K. No race morning registration will be provided and we will not be taking any other registrations.

If you did register for all the champ series races and are interested in running the John Wall Mile Track Race, then please read all the race information that follows. Following the race day instructions is imperative for the Striders to run a safe event for all.

Generally, keep these guidelines in mind: Arrive with enough time before your designated heat time based on the below table to get your packet and go through warm-up maneuvers, run your heat, then please leave the track. Do not linger or congregate in groups before or after your heat.

B&A Trail Marathon and Half Marathon Premium Pickup

Saturday, August 22nd 2:00pm-4:00pm: Mark your calendar! We will be handing out the premium and medal on Saturday, August 22nd from 2:00pm-4:00pm at Westfield Annapolis Mall in Annapolis, MD.   We will be located in the lower level of the parking garage fronting Bestgate Road between Pottery Barn and Nordstrom. This will be your only opportunity to pick up your premium.  WE WILL NOT BE MAILING PREMIUMS. 

Walk-up or drive-by: MASKS ARE REQUIRED! 

Someone may pick up your premium with a written, e-mail or text note of permission.
