 Registration for the 
Annapolis Striders Metric Marathon
(Our 37th year and 6th leg of the 
Annapolis Striders’ Championship Series)
 is now open!

The Metric Marathon will be held Sunday, September 30th, 2018 at 8:00 am at Southern High School in Harwood, MD.

If you are registered for the Annapolis Striders’ Championship Series you are 
good to go!

The Annapolis Striders Downs Park 5 Mile Run

 (30th year) and 7th leg of the Annapolis Striders Championship Series will be held Saturday, November 3rd, 2018 at 8:30 am at Downs Park in Pasadena, MD.

If you are signed up for the Annapolis Striders’ Championship Series, 
you are good to go!

The Downs Park 5 Mile run, is a loop course on paved trails within John H. Downs Memorial Park. The flat, scenic course winds through the woods with gorgeous views of the Chesapeake Bay.

Rosaryville 50K Ninth Annual
Rosaryville Veteran’s Day 50K
SATURDAY, November 10, 2018, 8:00 a.m.
at Rosaryville State Park

The race will close out at 200 participants
The course is basically three loops around the Rosaryville State Park perimeter trail. The course is mostly in deep woods, though there is some running in meadow also. The trail is largely single track; not very technical. The Start (also the Finish) is at the pavilion picnic area about three quarters of a mile from where the runners enter the single-track perimeter trail. Good food after the race.
The course has two aid stations about 4 1/2 miles apart. There will be a bag drop at the first aid station. We will transport bags from the Start to the bag drop site when the race begins and return them to the pavilion after the race–or you can pick up your bag as you leave the park.

right-arrow-icon3.gif The Little Sisters of the Poor Nun Run will be held Saturday, September 8th, 2018 in Baltimore

The Little Sisters of the Poor host their 5th annual Nun Run held at the Cathedral of Mary Our Queen, 5200 N. Charles Street, Baltimore, MD 21210. Proceeds benefit the Residents of St. Martin’s Home. The hilly 5K is a competitive course and new this year is chip timing. A 1 mile fun run/walk is offered on the site of the Cathedral.


On Saturday, September 8th, 2018, Stef Ripple (a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization) will host the 2nd Annual Stefanie Ashdown Memorial “Do Your Best” 5k and 1 Mile Walk.

 Stef Ripple’s mission is to provide awareness, hope, encouragement and support for ovarian cancer patients and their families by sharing the principles of Stef’s life: be thankful, be helpful, and be kind. This race is one of the organization’s fundraising events.  Proceeds raised will be used to provide support to ovarian cancer patients and their families.

The third annual Race to Remember will be held Saturday, September 15th, 2018 at the Severna Park Community Center.
The 1 mile walk or 5K run is inspired by the legacy of the special people in our community.  The race is a unique opportunity to not only honor the memory of a cherished member of our community but also to enhance their legacy by donating the profits of the race to a charity of your choice.
At the Race to Remember you are racing for more than yourself, you are racing for a special person in your life. When you register for the race you will be asked to specify a person for whom you are racing. Once registered you become a member of that person’s squad. As more people signup for the race they have the opportunity to become a part of your squad or race for another person and create a new squad. 
Unlike other races, speed doesn’t matter in the Race to Remember. Points are awarded based on the amount of squad members that finish the race. The squads with the most participants to complete the race will be awarded 1st, 2nd and 3rd place. A percentage of the profits will be donated to the charity (503c organization) of the winning squad’s choice.

right-arrow-icon3.gifThe Annapolis 9/11 Heroes Run (10th year) will be held Sunday, September 16th, 2018 at 2:00 pm at Navy-Marine Corps Memorial Stadium in Annapolis.

Hosted by Travis Manion Foundation, the Annapolis 9/11 Heroes Run includes a 5K and 1M Family Fun Run along with a new 5K GORUCK division that unites the community in remembering the sacrifices of the heroes of the September 11th attacks and in the wars since. Proceeds support TMF’s programs assisting veterans, families of fallen service members and promoting character among today’s youth. 


 The Knight Foundation Race 4 Recovery will be held Sunday, September 16th, 2018 in Gaithersburg, MD. 

The Race 4 Recovery 5K is a run/walk through the streets and around the lake at the beautiful RIO Washingtonian Center in Gaithersburg, MD. There will be live music, a DJ, giveaways, great prizes, amazing gift bags, food, and a lot of vender surprises.
Several guest appearance along with the Mayor and Council Members to make a public proclamation.
The Race 4 Recovery 5K is an annual run/walk event that is based on providing immediate action to those threatened from addiction and overdose. This run/walk is to promote awareness, break down stigmas associated with addiction, honor those that have been lost, and support those who currently are in the fight. 


The Annapolis Run for the Light House will be held Sunday, September 23rd, at Quiet Waters Park and the Hillsmere neighborhood in Annapolis.

Runners may choose from the ½ marathon, 5K, or the 1.25 mile Donut Dash.  All proceeds benefit the Light House, located at 10 Hudson Street in Annapolis.  The mission of the Light House is to help rebuild lives with compassion by providing shelter and services to prevent homelessness and empower people as they transition toward self-sufficiency.
Great music, prizes, lots of food, a family friendly event that attracts some serious runners – and all for a great cause! 
right-arrow-icon3.gif The 10th Annual Race to Embrace Independence 5K Walk and Run will be held Saturday, September 29th, 2018 at Lake Montebello in Baltimore.

This is  a 1 Mile Family Fun Run/Walk and a 5K Run/Walk to support  work to provide a holistic, healing community for women and their children who are in need of housing and support services. They provide a safe, sober, and loving environment that challenges women to respect and love themselves, confront emotional and socioeconomic issues, and transition to stable and independent lives.
right-arrow-icon3.gif The Heart Run 5K will be held Saturday, September 29th, 2018 at Kinder Farm Park in Millersville, MD

Join the inaugural Heart Run 5k to benefit the Heartstrong Foundation! The well-marked course is mostly flat with a mix of trail and pavement.
The  goal is to raise money to advance the research, medical care, and family support of Congenital Heart Disease/Defects (CHD) through the education, encouragement and support of heart-healthy living. This event supports heart-healthy living through physical activity, and all proceeds will go to family support groups and hospitals that make a difference, including Johns Hopkins Hospital and Mended Little Hearts of Greater Baltimore.



right-arrow-icon3.gif The 9th Annual Calvert Health 5K Run/Walk to benefit the Sheldon E. Goldberg Center for Breast Care will be held Saturday,
 October 6th, 2018 on Solomon’s Island, MD.

Proceeds from the CalvertHealth 5K benefit the Sheldon E. Goldberg Center for Breast Care caring for women in the area.

right-arrow-icon3.gif  The ASA (Athletes Serving Athletes) Run Fest  will be held Saturday, October 13th, 2018 in Hunt Valley, MD.
Kids run, 1 mile, 5K, 10K. Athletes Serving Athletes is a non profit based in the Baltimore community and dedicated to empowering athletes living with disabilities to cross the finish line in mainstream running and triathlon events. The Fall Family Festival will follow the race with music, kid zone, food and fun! The proceeds from the race will go to ASA’s WingMan Program.
 The 9th Annual Myositis 5K Run, Walk N’Roll for a cure will
be held Saturday, October 13th, 2018 at Centennial Park 
in Ellicott City, MD.
All proceeds go to the Johns Hopkins Myositis Center and The Myositis Association for research to find a cure for this rare disease.
right-arrow-icon3.gif  The Savage 7K Run and 1 Mile Historic Walk will be held Sunday, October 14th, 2018 at the Carroll Baldwin Hall in Savage, MD.
Built of stone from the Little Patuxent River bordering Savage, Carroll Baldwin Hall is a 96-year-old Maryland Historic Trust site which still serves as a vibrant community center. Funds from each year’s race help restore and maintain this historic gem. Please come for an autumn run or walk through our lovely community, and enjoy music and homemade breakfast treats afterward! 7K Run begins at Baldwin Hall and runs past Savage Mill, then through Savage Park and surrounding neighborhoods. 1-Mile Walk is a guided tour through historic Savage.
The Key School 5K/10K & Family Fun Run Race will be held Sunday, October 21st, 2018 at the Key School in Annapolis, MD.
The annual Key School 5K/10K & Family Fun Run is sponsored by the Key School Parents’ Association. Flat and fast, the USATF certified 5K & 10K courses are ideal for those running their very first race as well as those looking to achieve a new personal record. Runners wind their way through the scenic community of Hillsmere Shores on paved roads, catching glimpses of the South River along the route.

right-arrow-icon3.gif  Take your fitness to the next level and help save lives!  Register now for the 2018 Marine Corps Marathon (October 28, 2018) by joining Team ZERO-The End of Prostate Cancer.
They have 50 guaranteed entries at the 2018 Marine Corps Marathon to run with the Marines.
