All Annapolis Striders events and races are organized and staffed by volunteers!
All Annapolis Striders members are encouraged to do their part and volunteer. Encourage your family members to also volunteer!
PLEASE REMEMBER THAT VOLUNTEERS ARE THE BACKBONE OF EVERY ANNAPOLIS STRIDERS RACE AND PROGRAM.
CURRENT VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES:
The Endless Summer 6 Hour Run is several months away, and we realize there is a high probability that the constraints, in dealing with COVID-19, will remain in effect come race day. No later than May 30, 2020, a final determination for the 10th annual event will be made.
Provided below are possible courses of action we are evaluating:
Continue with the event as-is.
Postpone the event for a later date.
Cancel the 2020 event and issue refunds or deferments, or donate entry fees to the Semper Fi Fund.
Currently, we have closed registration but have opened up the wait-list. This means that if you are not already registered, and are thinking about signing up, you can put your name on the wait-list at no cost to you. If the race is canceled, you will not have spent any money. If the race is able to proceed, you will receive an email being invited to complete registration at that time.
If the race is held we will need volunteers. To volunteer please email Email John
The Annapolis Striders 2020 Annapolis 10 Mile Run is scheduled to be held

at the Navy-Marine Corps Stadium in Annapolis
Registration for the 45th Annual Annapolis 10 Mile Run,

Covid 19 Update: We are hopeful the A-10 will happen this year, and we are monitoring the situation closely while working with the permitting authorities. We will provide updates as available via our website and social media.
It has been 5 weeks since Covid-19 put an end to our race. As of today, we are still following social distancing guidelines which prohibits our ability to distribute premiums. Once we are able to gather again, we will schedule a time and place to distribute premiums.
The Annapolis Striders is a non-profit organization that exists solely to encourage and support running. Prior to race day, the club incurs many expenses that are non-refundable such as permits and premiums. The costs of these items are covered by the entry fees we receive which is why we specifically state there will be no refunds or deferrals on the registration website. That being said, we realize that many races are offering refunds or deferrals. Once we have a final accounting of costs incurred and funds received, we can determine the amount of refund we can offer to those requesting one. As some of you know, the Annapolis Striders also donates funds to local charities such as Anne Arundel Medical Center and local churches. The funding for these donations ultimately comes from you supporting our races. It is our hope that you would not request a refund and help us support the local charities that are supporting us during this crisis.

ANNAPOLIS STRIDERS RUNNER EDUCATION AND
Annapolis Striders membership is required to participate in these training programs. There is no fee for the training programs but you must register.
Additional information about training programs may be found on the Annapolis Striders website.
We were hopeful that the health situation would rapidly improve and we would be able to conduct the 5K and 10K training programs as scheduled. Unfortunately, that has not occurred and the Board determined, in the best interest of our members, that we will be canceling the training programs. We will ask the coaches to email the training schedule to those who have registered for training. In addition, it is the our intent to continue with group training programs as soon as the situation allows. In other words, please follow the training schedule so when group runs commence, you will be ready.
