Rosaryville 50K

Tenth Annual Rosaryville Veteran’s Day 50K

SATURDAY, November 9, 2019, 8:00 a.m.
at Rosaryville State Park
The race will close out at 200 participants
The course is mostly in deep woods at Rosaryville State Park, though there is some running in meadows also. The trail is largely single track; not very technical. The Start (also the Finish) is at the Pavilion picnic area about three quarters of a mile from where the runners enter the single-track perimeter trail. Hot food after the race starting about 11:30. The race will end at 4:00 pm.
The course has two aid stations about 4 1/2 miles apart. There will be a bag drop at the first aid station. We will transport bags from the Start to the bag drop site when the race begins and return them to the pavilion after the race–or you can pick up your bag as you leave the park.

To volunteer or for more information, contact Co-Race Director,
  Tom DeKornfeld or 410-562-4489.

Volunteer validation available.

We are happy to announce the opening of registration for the Half Marathon and Winter 5K programs.
Eva Coale will be taking the reins for the Half Marathon Program where this year we will combine best practices from the Extra Mile pilot into a Front of the Pack model that reunites experienced and new runners under one coaching team.

Paul Thorn once again will be leading the way for new runners in the
Winter 5K program. If you’re interested in coaching or mentoring, there’s nothing more rewarding and no better group to cut your leadership teeth on than our 5K program.

Marathon training concludes this weekend with the running of the Marine Corps Marathon. A group of volunteers will be cheering on Striders from our usual spot near mile marker 22, also now mile marker 27 for those running in the first MCM 50K.  Thank you Coach Wally Bixby, Jorge Laurel, Lee Crumbaugh, and Marjorie Fioravante for your leadership this year!

Congratulations to those runners who ran, and thank you for those who registered a time with me for completing the Lisbon, Baltimore, Chicago, and Wine Glass marathons. Of those, we know of 5 Boston qualifiers so far.
On 8 November Michael Myers will hold a Coaches meeting at a Severna Park venue.  If you’re interested in coaching next year, let him know at

The Annapolis Triathlon Club (ATC) is dedicated to supporting our fallen heroes and honoring them with a wreath at their gravesite during this holiday season. The goal is to bring more wreaths to the Crownsville Veteran’s Cemetery. There are over 20,000 grave sites in the cemetery and in 2018 through local support they were able to cover about 15,000 gravestones. This year we’re hoping to cover all the sites.
