This low key program will guide participants from a base of 2 – 3 miles to a long run of 6 miles. This program typically targets the Annapolis Striders Dawson’s Father’s Day 10K (Spring) or the Cold Turkey 10K (Fall).Next training session starts April 11, 2020. See below for details.
All participants must be current Annapolis Strider members and be able to run 2-3 miles.
Annapolis Striders training classes are a free benefit for members. In order to participate in this training class, you must have a current membership. You may become a member or renew an existing membership online or by mail-in form. After signing up as a member (or if you are already a member), you must also register for the training with the registration method for the upcoming session below. Training coaches will not accept membership signups or training registrations in-person at training sessions.
GoalsTo complete a 10K (6.2 mile) race.
Information on safely increasing your weekly mileage, injury prevention, running safety, and keeping running fun. 10K shirts will be provided to those who attend training sessions regularly and complete the program!

2020 SPRING 10K TRAINING PROGRAM
April 11, 2020 - June 21, 2020
Fellow runners We were hopeful that the health situation would rapidly improve and we would be able to conduct the 5k and 10k trainings as scheduled. Unfortunately, that has not occurred and the Board determined that, in the best interest of our members, we will be canceling the trainings. We will ask the coaches to email the training schedule to those persons that have registered for training. In addition, it is the our intent to continue with group trainings as soon as the situation allows. In other words, please follow the training schedule so that when group runs commence, you will be ready. 😀 Stay healthy!
